Second Pass Editor Feature Added to Availity

On November 16, we added a new feature in Availity to help providers understand claim edits and denials better.

Before we added this enhancement, a second pass edit or denial on a claim only had a one-sentence description. Now, with this new feature, providers can see more detailed policy scripts and explanations for each line that gets a second pass edit. You can now click on a new section “View Code Audit Rationale” in the claim detail screen that gives you helpful information.

This enhancement is designed to help you research claim edits and denials. It provides more transparency and makes it easier for you to understand the reasons behind each edit or denial.
