Reminder: FEP Paper Explanation of Payments Ending August 1

What’s changing:
If you’re enrolled with electronic funds transfer (EFT) for Federal Employee Program (FEP) payments, please be aware that paper explanation of payments (EOPs) are discontinued starting August 1, 2024. This information was also communicated in the May 2, 2024, issue of Provider News.

Reason for the change:
We’re transitioning to online EOPs to help you save time, reduce errors, and comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Starting August 1, 2024, Premera will no longer send paper EOPs for FEP payments for providers registered for EFT.
