New Claim Attachments Button in Availity

Through Availity, Premera accepts attachments to support the processing of a claim in a pending or finalized status. If an attachment is needed to support a claim, the denial reason code or claims status description will indicate what’s needed for the attachments. This new feature doesn’t support requests for additional information from our vendors.
Send attachments to vendor, not Premera
If you send a claim attachment to Premera for a service supported by a vendor, we can’t process the additional information. To prevent a delay in processing your claim, make sure you send additional information to the correct vendor when applicable.
