Expanded Surgery and Birth Sites Benefit

In December, we shared that Premera Blue Cross site of service benefit helps members save on care at select locations. This includes ambulatory surgical centers (ASC) and birth centers for elective surgeries and low-risk pregnancies.

What’s New

You can now see ASC as a benefit display in Availity Essentials. It shows the patient’s cost share is for ASC, outpatient, and inpatient care. Ambulatory surgical centers lower out-of-pocket costs for patients.
