Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Primary Care Provider?

Members in Washington will receive a mailer this month with detailed information about accessing appropriate care. The mailer will help them understand where they should go and who they should contact when they need care. The materials will cover topics such as:

  • Alternatives to Emergency Department (ED) visits for non-emergent services like the 24-Hour Nurse Line, telehealth services, and urgent care facilities
  • Costs for these alternatives per the member’s specific plan
  • Reminders of conditions, symptoms, and situations considered “emergent”
