Blue High Performance Network® Reminder

Why It Matters

Blue High Performance Network^® (BlueHPN) is a national high-value network from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. It’s available in many U.S. markets and offered as an exclusive provider organization plan. There’s no out-of-network coverage except for urgent and emergent services.

What to Do

• Check your Premera Blue Cross agreement:
  • If your practice is contracted for Heritage Prime in Washington, you’re aligned with BlueHPN.
• Use Availity Essentials:
  • Run an eligibility and benefits check to see the patient’s network.
  • If the plan is BlueHPN and your practice is Heritage Prime, you’re in network.
  • Look for the BlueHPN suitcase icon on member ID cards.
• Search with the Find Care tool:
  • Go to premera.com and choose Find Care.
  • Select browse all doctors and specialists.
  • Enter your ZIP code.
  • Search by provider name and scroll to view networks accepted.
