Premera Increases Member Access to Dentists Nationally

On January 1, 2026, we’re making some positive changes that will give our members more access to dental care nationally. We’ll share more detailed information later in the year. Until then, here are a few highlights:

• Premera will join the national Dental GRID*, which links the dental networks of many Blue Cross Blue Shield plans across the country. By adding the Premera Dental Choice network to one of the country’s largest national dental networks, we’re helping to improve dental access for our members and millions of Blue Cross Blue Shield plan members nationwide.
• As a participating provider with the Dental Choice network, you’ll be automatically included in the Dental GRID network. Your participation doesn’t change your provider contract or reimbursement level.
• The national Dental GRID network is used by more than 10 million members nationally, giving Washington and Alaska dentists the opportunity to increase patient volume by seeing members from other participating Blue plans at Premera reimbursement levels.
