Well-Child Awareness Campaigns
We have two member well-child campaign mailings this fall.
Childhood immunization awareness
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that babies have at least 7 check-ups with their primary care provider by the age of 15 months. The AAP also recommends that children aged 2 and older see their doctor annually.
The parents/guardians of eligible members will receive a chart outlining the timeliness for each recommended vaccination.
All mailings have relevant, age-appropriate information including:
- Recommended vaccine schedule
- Anticipatory guidance
- How to find a primary care provider
Well-child outreach for ages 3 to 11
Throughout 2024, Premera’s Member Engagement Team will continue to send informational mailings to the parents and/or guardians of children ages 3 to 11, to make sure they keep on track with vaccines and well-child checkups.
Guardians are provided a visual calendar outlining each vaccine the child needs and the acceptable window to receive the vaccine.
