2024 Availity Updates Wrap Up in December
We’re excited to announce the last of our six 2024 Availity enhancements are going live in December! We encourage you to watch the Availity quick training demos to get up to speed on the improvements we’ve made to make your daily work easier.
Here’s a list of features that went live on November 16:
Claim attachments
Use a new send attachments button to submit various types of information for claims.
Availity Essentials role required: Claim Status* Training: Availity Claim Status – Training Demo (Availity sign in required). Once enrolled in the course, navigate to the Value-Added Features section, and select the Send Attachments tab for a brief video.
Claim corrections
Make necessary edits to a claim that Premera has already accepted for processing.

Remittance viewer
Access all claims associated with a specific explanation of payment (EOP).

December enhancements include:
Commercial standard fee schedules
Eliminates the need to contact Premera Provider Relations for a copy.

Claim status
Providers can quickly identify the status of a claim via three new categories: denied, paid, and action required.

*If you need a role assigned to you, contact your organization’s Availity Essentials administrator. To find your administrator, log in to your Availity Essentials account, go to [Your Name’s] Account > My Account > Organization(s) > Open My Administrators.
The first of our six updates, claim denial reasons enhancement, launched in August.
And one more
In addition to those six Availity enhancements, a new feature for our second pass editor went live in November. With the new feature, you can view informational policy and rationale related to claims that have a second pass edit applied within Availity.
